Welcome to the official web site for the Lancaster Pennsylvania Chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA).

We are a non-profit volunteer organization that is dedicated to the promotion and enjoyment of general aviation.

Chapter 540 holds it's monthly meeting at 7:30pm on the first Tuesday of the month at Airways pilot lounge, located at the Lancaster Airport, (KLNS). Guests are always welcome and encouraged to attend. We have interesting guest speakers, informative presentations, share information and resources, and just simply have a good time with friends who love aviation.

The EAA is an international organization dedicated to the support of aircraft homebuilders, and also sponsors various programs designed to provide education in, and to promote the enthusiasm for, general aviation. The benefits of EAA national membership are numerous, and I encourage you to visit the official web site of the EAA at your leisure to learn more about this impressive and dynamic organization.

Chapter 540 membership benefits are numerous as well. Members can participate in all of our events, attend general meetings, take advantage of seminars, just to name a few.

The members of Chapter 540 are a diverse group of aviation enthusiasts from the Central Pennsylvania area and beyond. Diverse in age, interests, projects, and occupations. It is not necessary to be a pilot to belong to the EAA and Chapter 540. Our non-pilot members are committed to promoting general aviation through participation in the many and varied activities that the chapter sponsors each year.

Many chapter 540 members have completed or are currently building a variety of aircraft. Other members who fly, but are not interested in building, own or rent production aircraft from Cessna, Katana, Piper, Grumman, and Stinson to name a few.

The Chapter hosts fly-ins, fly-outs, pancake breakfasts, and field trips throughout the year. We present educational programs for both novice and experienced flyers and participate in programs such as AOPA’s Project Pilot, designed to introduce the non-flying community to the value and joy of flight.

Visitors and guests are always welcome at a Chapter 540 event. What better way to see first-hand the fun we have, and the wonderful people involved in our chapter. Chapter 540 events are designed for the entire family. If you have children who are interested in flying, let us introduce them to aviation through the EAA Young Eagles program. If you fly, would like to learn to fly, or if you just have a love for aviation in general, please accept our invitation to attend our next monthly general meeting.

Once again; 7:30pm on the first Tuesday of the month at Airways pilot lounge, located at the Lancaster Airport, (KLNS) in Lititz, PA.

We look forward to meeting you soon.
